Inna, from KidsFirst called today and said Novosibirsk changed their mind and will give us two referrals. Our dossier is now in Novosibirsk. We are just waiting to hear about our referrals and a possible travel date. I am excited!

Inna, from KidsFirst called today. She said Novosibirsk is not comfortable giving us two referrals. Our documents are being held in Moscow and we will have to wait for something in another region. I am bummed since I did all the running for our medical documents…seems like it was all for nothing. I keep telling myself God is in control and everything happens for a reason. He sees the bigger picture that we can’t see.

Kelly and I worked on setting up the cribs in the baby room today. It was very fun and exciting to get everything ready for them.

Later in the day I had to put something away in the baby room and opened the door and my heart skipped a beat when I saw the two cribs. It just makes everything so much more real when you have something to look at. I am so excited to be adding to our family.

I drove to Frankfort KY today to have our documents apostilled. A few snowflakes started falling and I got a little worried. Thankfully it was just a little flurry action and nothing was sticking!

We are now done with our paperwork and just have to wait!

After two weeks of trying to get our medical documents signed by our doctor, for Novosibirsk, we were finally able to meet with her today. We had to reschedule in the past due to the snow and ice storms we were having. I was hoping to be able to drive to Frankfort to have them apostilled, but we ran out of time. I will have to do it tomorrow.

Today I went to the assessors office to get our letter. I was armed with all kinds of paperwork to verify our home was our primary residence. I walked in and gave them the sob story that I was adopting and Russia required all of this paperwork and would they please do the letter. They looked me up in the computer and wrote the letter with no problem! God certainly does answer prayers.

Thanks prayer team for helping me pray!

Today KidsFirst called and they want to send our dossier (paperwork) to Novosibirsk, Russia. We have to do a few additional documents that look somewhat easy to get done. Three of the documents we just have to sign and return to the agency. We also have to have our doctor sign a new medical form and our county assessor verify our residence. I believe this document could be a challenge because the wording states that it is our primary residence and I don’t think they will want to verify that. Hmm…I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
